Our Story
Project HEROES Powered by HOPE was born from a deep understanding of the challenges faced by first responders. As a first responder's child and sibling, I've witnessed first hand the profound impact their experiences have on their well-being. Seeing my parents navigate coworker suicides, line-of-duty deaths, and mental health struggles because of the things that NO one should see or experience inspired me. These experiences have instilled in me the importance of showing our HEROES that they are not alone.
Supporting Families, Too
We understand that the challenges faced by first responders also impact their families. Spouses and children often navigate the difficulties of having a HERO who works nights, weekends, and holidays. We aim to create a community where these families feel supported and know they are not alone in their journey. The goal is to provide a resource for those walking the sometimes lonely road of having a family member who is a First Responder.
The Hope Behind the Badge
Project HEROES Powered by HOPE stands out by offering simple acts of kindness and words of encouragement to first responders. With over 85% facing mental health challenges and half not seeking help due to stigma, lack of funds, or fear of employment repercussions, we bridge the gap. By providing resources and fostering a sense of community, we ensure our HEROES know they are loved and appreciated, even when feeling vulnerable. We can be the HOPE behind the badge!
